What should you look for in a Laundry Service?
With the rise of middle-man apps that pair you with the closest or cheapest service provider, you have no idea who is picking up, cleaning, and delivering your clothes. And, this likely changes order-to-order – sometimes even being sent to individuals to wash at their home instead of a professional company operating in a professional laundry facility.
At Washed, we have trained employees doing your laundry. We employ our own drivers who drive our company-owned vehicles. Our company employees do your laundry in our company-owned facilities and our customer service reps are based in our service area – we are 100%

How much does your service cost?
Pricing is listed on our Pricing Page. We charge by the pound for wash and fold orders. Large bedding and other specialty items are priced by the piece.
How will I be billed?
We bill your credit or debit card directly. We will email you a detailed invoice each time your card is billed. You can also receive invoice totals by text and review your invoice history in your account using our App or by logging into your account online.
Is there a delivery charge?
There is a $5 delivery fee per order. This charge helps offset the transportation costs.
Is there a minimum charge?
There is a minimum charge of $30.00 per laundry pickup.
I missed my pickup day. Is there a missed pickup fee?
We’ve put in place email and text reminder tools to help make sure you don’t forget. However, if you do forget to leave your laundry out we may charge a $15.00 missed pickup fee to cover costs.
How do I manage my laundry profile?
You can log-in to your profile at any time online or using one of our mobile apps. We highly suggest the mobile app.
What if I am not home when you pickup and deliver?
No problem. We are a contactless service. Please leave the laundry somewhere we can access it. If the location is not visible from the street, please log into your account and edit your Pickup/Delivery Instructions.
Where should I leave my laundry for pickup?
We recommend that your pickup/drop-off location be protected from the elements if possible. Most customers have us leave their laundry on their front porch. If you want us to pickup at an alternate location, please specify this in your profile.
What days of the week do you service my area?
We service our entire service area everyday of the week. Using our app, you can schedule pickups Monday thru Saturday and deliveries Monday thru Sunday. You can even schedule multiple days per week if you want to. Many families will schedule a rotating schedule for twice a week. For example, a pickup/delivery on Monday and another pickup/delivery on Thursday. If you have a large amount of laundry in your household, this is a great way to manage it.
When will my laundry be picked up and when will it be returned?
Pickup and delivery will occur during the route hours listed when you place your order. Our routes typically start around 8:30 AM and end around 3:00 PM. On some days, this will fluctuate depending on traffic and weather.
When is the latest I can schedule a pickup?
You can schedule a pickup anytime prior to the route start time. Our typical route start time is 8:30 AM.
What should I place my laundry in for my first pickup?
If you have not received your Welcome Kit yet, please place your laundry in disposable plastic bags. Please do not place it in hampers, plastic bins, etc. These items are very difficult for us to transport.
What’s in the Welcome Kit?
The Welcome Kit consists of one teal laundry bag, and one white mesh “special attention” bag and a welcome card.
Will my clothes be washed or dried with other customer’s clothes?
No. We wash and dry our customers’ laundry individually in separate machines.
Do you treat stains?
Yes, we do. Please place all stained clothing in the “Special Attention” bag and let us know by including a note in the bag or on your laundry profile and we’ll do our best to get it out. While we’re usually successful at removing stains, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get it out. If you can pretreat the stain before putting the garment in the bag, it will increase the odds of success.
For Commercial Customers
Does Washed use contracts?
Yes and No. For smaller accounts, we do not require a contract for our commercial laundry services. We do implement a contract for larger accounts. Our contracts are a mutual agreement with our customers. The use of a contract is account specific.
For Linen Rentals
Where do you service?
Washed currently provides linen rental service to Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Washed will also service other areas on a limited basis. If you need rentals outside of Virginia Beach and Norfolk, please contact us to discuss options.
Do I have to be present for you to deliver linen rentals?
No. You do not need to be present for our linen deliveries or pick-ups. Washed typically delivers the linens at the front entry door, unless otherwise specified during the ordering process. Washed will typically deliver your items to the unit by 6:00 PM on the check-in day. Please be sure to verify your delivery address when placing your order. “Re-Delivery” due to a faulty address will result in a $35 re-delivery fee for additional fuel and labor.
How do I place an order?
Rental orders can be taken by phone or online. Our online ordering page is the fastest and easiest way to place an order. From the ordering page, the order is directly input into our ordering and logistics system. This ensures accuracy and expediency.
Availability is on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee availability until an order is confirmed and paid for in full. Availability will not be guaranteed without payment already on file. Rental orders not paid in full by the scheduled delivery date will not be sent out.
Order Cancellations may be subject to a $10.00 cancellation fee. Orders canceled less than one week prior to delivery will receive a full refund less a $25.00 administrative fee. As of delivery day, we cannot offer refunds but will be glad to make exchanges for items of comparable value based on availability at that time. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
Please place all Washed linen rental linens and towels in the white laundry bag provided and place at the designated drop-off/pickup location and ready for pickup by 10:30am the morning of your departure. Please do NOT remove any mattress pads, pillow shams, blankets or any items that belong to the home and place them in the white linen bags. The sheets and towels are laundered in one facility and the bedding/household items in another so PLEASE do not mix them up.
